    Foundation Philips Bauelementewerke Klagenfurt

    For more than 50 years the location of Klagenfurt-Ebentalerstrasse stands for electronic manufacturing. Already 1962 the so-called Bauelemente-Werke (component-based works) have been established here. Since then circuit boards, capacitors and electronic modules are being manufactured in Carinthia.

  2. 1979

    Start of electronic assembling production

    Since that year the production of assembled products started in Klagenfurt. Electronic from Carinthia conquers the world-wide market.

  3. 1999

    Takeover of the assembly and PCB manufacturing by AIK

    In this year Philips sold parts of the "Bauelementewerke" to the AIK Group in Germany.

  4. 2003

    cms electronics gmbh established

    Establishing the cms electronics gmbh (cms = carinthian modules & systems) and acquisition of the activities of the business unit assembly manufacturing of AIK

  5. 2005

    The first subsidiary

    Joint venture with the former producing partner at the site Hungary

    Establishing the cms manufacturing Kft. under industrial leadership of cms electronics

    And the Winner is...

    cms electronics wins the Carinthian export prize. The export prize commends above-average commitment and achievements of carinthian companies in foreign markets. It is an award for companies which do a first-class job for the carinthian economy.

    Enlargement of the production space in Klagenfurt with a new 900m² hall

    Increase of production capacity

    The positive market development makes it necessary to increase the production capacity.

    Therefore cms electronics invests in two new SMT assembly lines.

    Invest in a fully automated, robot based assembly line and a coating line.
