cms electronics commissions photovoltaic system at its Hungarian site – milestone in the modernization campaign
With the successful completion of extensive reconstruction and renovation measures, cms electronics is setting another strong example for sustainable corporate development: A new photovoltaic system is now in operation on the roof of the factory at its Hungarian site. The system was installed as part of a comprehensive modernization initiative and is making a significant contribution to reducing CO₂ emissions and ensuring a sustainable energy supply.
With the commissioning of the PV system, cms electronics underscores its commitment to implementing innovative and environmentally friendly solutions at all its locations. The solar energy generated covers a significant portion of the Hungarian plant's electricity needs and makes an important contribution to the implementation of the group-wide sustainability strategy.
The new PV system, with approximately 740 m² of module area at the Hungarian site, generates as much electricity as approximately 50 single-family homes consume annually. Designed as an off-grid system, it supplies the Hungarian plant with self-generated solar power, completely independently of the public power grid.
The plant marked the beginning of ongoing investments in renewable energy and is an important step towards a climate-friendly future.
